![]() My Dear Friends : We are in our third year of sharing the Andrew Wommack daily devotions with you, hope you have been blessed by the word of God that we have shared with you. It is my joy to share with you. We all need our hearts changed in some degree of our lives. The only way we can ever have true and lasting change is by the Word of God. Heb. 4:12 Hebrews 4:12 (AMP) 12 For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. I am very much aware that in my life that my thoughts are to much on my self and my life,in other words I am confessing that I am self- centered and I know that this is not what God intended for any of us to be. I believed that if we are honest with ourselves we all would have to admit that we have a self- centered streak in us,especially we that live in the US. We are so focused on our needs that we have no room for others. Our Heavenly Father has promised us that He would supply are needs, the problem is that our wants has become our needs. We have so many wants that there is no room for others. Jesus has given us the key to all of this in the following verses. Matthew 22:36-40 (AMP) 36 Teacher, which kind of commandment is great and important (the principal kind) in the Law? [Some commandments are light—which are heavy?] 37 And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). 38 This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself. (emp. mine) 40 These two commandments sum up, and upon them, depend all the Law and the Prophets. I draw your attention to verse 39 if we were to fulfill that, there would be zero problems for us to deal with. I am very much aware we in our natural self we do not have the capacity to love, that is what the Bible calls agape love (God's kind of love). God loves us because He is love has nothing to do with how good we are. The good news is if we are born again we have God's kind of love residing in our born again spirits, the sad news is that most Christians are not aware that they posses this love. It cannot manifest in our natural self if we do not by faith believe we have the God kind of love residing within us. I have said the above because I want to share something with you that which has stirred my heart and has brought all this to awareness in my heart. There is more importance to life then just getting up every morning to see how we can fulfill our desires and wants in our lives. There are things in life that are bigger and greater then just our circle of life. Things that are more fulfilling and satisfying. I try not to burden you with a lot of things beside the devotional, except when the Lord lays something on my heart to share. This is one of those times.
